Testimonials & Messages

Dr. Nancy Robb
High School District 211
Superintendent of Schools

A Message from the Superintendent...

"I am proud to say that High School District 211 has been my home for more than 30 years.  I am also proud of the fact that we offer one of the best educational experiences for high school students in the state.  District 211's opportunities for academic learning and personal growth are second to none.  And, with 28 inter-scholastic sports and more than 60 clubs and organizations at each of our five high schools, it's no wonder that over 75% of our students participate in extra-curricular activities.  With all that we have to offer, we take seriously the challenge that all students can and will be successful.  Thank you for your support in helping make District 211 a place where all students excel.  I share your commitment in making our schools a place where students want to learn and be successful."

Gary Steiger, Principal
Palatine High School

"I am often asked, what is so special about Palatine. I must say, that I really think it is the people. We have a great community that supports our schools in everyway possible. Whether it is attending one of our school events, a play, a concert, a sporting event, a dance or an awards ceremony, our community; teachers, students and parents, all support the school and each other. I walk down the halls or into classrooms and I see students and faculty who are actively engaged in the teaching and learning process. I see students who support, encourage and respect each other. I see students who enjoy being at Palatine and parents who are glad that their students are here and that support the school and our students. It may sound cliche, but I see a family. I see people with a common purpose and goal and I couldn't think of anywhere else I would rather be Principal at, than at Palatine High School. It truly is a special place and I'm proud to be a part of it.

“You cannot be in education for any length of time and not be aware of District 15 and the position of excellence it maintains in the eyes of educators across the country. Having recently been able to move to this community as superintendent, and join the district’s dedicated team of teachers, administrators and support staff who are so passionately pursuing what is best for kids has truly been one of the joys of my life as an educator. I am constantly amazed by their everyday efforts to serve students and fulfill the District’s mission to produce world class learners by building a connected learning community—a community I’m proud to be a part of, and a community I hope you will become a resident and member of in the future.”
